Shainfeld sets a new standard in travel to places you’ve never discovered. One of the things that sets Shainfeld apart most is the touring. This summer, from the Hilton Mainz, Shainfeld offers special itineraries that depart directly from the hotel and bring you back to it each evening.

Day one takes you to Strasbourg, capital of France’s Alsace region. There you’ll enjoy an enchanting cruise along the canals, stroll through the picturesque “Petite France” quarter, and feel — for a moment — that the most beautiful corner of Europe belongs to you.

Day two leads to Worms and Heidelberg, two cities each well worth a visit in its own right. In Worms you’ll stand before the famous chair of Rashi in the ancient synagogue, and in Heidelberg you’ll explore a Renaissance gem crowned by a magnificent castle and an old town that looks as if time stood still.

On day three you’ll arrive in Luxembourg, one of Europe’s most fascinating cities. The Grand Ducal Palace, enchanting squares, and the “Little Switzerland” park with its green ravines and breathtaking scenery — all in a single trip.

Day four brings the grand cruise along the Rhine Valley, with a visit to the wine towns of Bingen and Bacharach, a spectacular sail down the river, and a view from the most beautiful terrace in Europe over the legendary Lorelei rock.

And the fifth and final day features a walking tour of Mainz itself: the Rhine promenade, the resting place of Rabbeinu Gershom “Light of the Exile,” the ancient Jewish quarter, and shopping along the lively pedestrian mall — all right from the hotel’s front door.

A new standard in itineraries and attractions for families

If you’ve come with children, this summer is built around exactly what families are looking for — a blend of fun, adrenaline, nature, and Yiddishkeit — and everyone, from the youngest to the oldest, comes away happy.

Europa-Park is a must. The largest theme park in Germany, with wild roller coasters and rides that will have every age screaming with joy. From there you’ll continue to Phantasialand, a one-of-a-kind attractions park with six themed worlds — Berlin, Mexico, China, Fantasy, Klugheim, and more. Each area is a completely different world, and every ride is a never-ending experience.

Nature and adventure lovers have a special itinerary waiting that combines Worms with a ropes course in a vast forest. First you’ll discover the glorious Jewish history of Rashi’s city, and then head out to a ropes challenge in the heart of nature that will turn the whole family into friendly competitors. The “Little Switzerland” Luxembourg itinerary brings you on an enchanting walk through the green heart of Luxembourg, with the Ducal Palace, picturesque squares, and the Little Switzerland park that looks as if it were lifted from a storybook. And for those who’d rather stay close, the Mainz itinerary offers the whole family the promenade, the resting place of Rabbeinu Gershom, and lively shopping on the pedestrian mall — all just steps from the hotel.

Europe Nighttime

The big moment you’ve been waiting for: a bar or bat mitzvah in Europe

Dreaming of a bar or bat mitzvah abroad? Shainfeld’s special package turns your big family celebration into an unforgettable experience — for you, for your friends, and for the whole family.

You’ll begin at the very best location: the Hilton Mainz on the Rhine, a luxurious hotel that feels like a celebration from the very first moment. From here you’ll set out to some of Europe’s largest amusement parks — Europa-Park and Phantasialand — giving the bar or bat mitzvah celebrant a day full of adrenaline and laughter. Alongside that, a visit to Rashi’s ancient synagogue and to the resting place of the Baal Shem of Michelstadt will give the big moment real Jewish depth — the kind that’s etched in memory for years. And with cuisine at the Shainfeld level, special concept evenings, and a festive Shabbat atmosphere, this is a bar and bat mitzvah every guest will be talking about for a long time to come.

Daniela: tours for women and young women — because this summer is yours

There are vacations that pass by, and there are vacations that stay with you. Shainfeld’s Daniela is the second kind, and the reason is simple: she doesn’t decide for you what you’ll enjoy — she gives you everything all at once. Fun, adventure, Yiddishkeit, shopping, and amazing food, all in one place.

From the very first day you’ll understand that this is a different kind of experience. Europa-Park, the largest in Germany, welcomes you with 18 spectacular worlds, wild roller coasters, and surprises around every corner. And if you’re looking for more, a full day at Phantasialand adds six beautifully designed themed worlds, from colorful Mexico to old Berlin. In between: a ropes course, zip line, adventure sports, and extreme outings that will take you out of your comfort zone in the most enjoyable way possible.

But Daniela is not only adrenaline — it’s also Yiddishkeit and tradition. You’ll visit Rashi’s ancient synagogue in Worms, where the chair on which the great commentator sat still stands. And on the eve of Rosh Chodesh you’ll travel to the resting place of the Baal Shem of Michelstadt for a special and moving prayer service. The tzaddik promised that the prayer of anyone who prays at his grave would be accepted — and even those who didn’t expect it come away with something in their heart.

On the culinary side, hands-on chef workshops await you with professional chefs who’ll reveal the secrets behind perfect sushi, dreamy cakes, and restaurant-quality meats. And a full shopping day at Europe’s largest shopping centers — with brands, outlets, and prices you won’t find back home — will seal the deal. Come with an empty suitcase and return with a packed one and memories for years.

In the footsteps of 1,000 years of Jewish history — a journey that touches the soul

There are trips that leave behind something far deeper. Shainfeld’s “In the Footsteps of 1,000 Years of Jewish History” itinerary is exactly what you need.

The journey begins in Mainz — Magenza — the city where Ashkenazi Jewry was born, where Rashi studied, and where the printing press that changed the world was invented. From the hotel you’ll walk to the Rhine promenade, to Gutenberg Square, and to the highlight of the tour: the modern “Light of the Exile” synagogue, a groundbreaking work of architecture shaped like the Hebrew letter “kuf,” built on the ruins of the synagogue burned down on Kristallnacht. Right there, between the ancient and the new, you’ll feel the continuity of Jewish history in a way you can never forget.

From there you’ll continue to Koblenz and the Moselle Valley, where Jewish communities flourished for centuries. A cable-car ride up to Ehrenbreitstein Fortress will give you a spectacular view over the meeting of the rivers, before you dive into the stories of the communities along the water. In Worms, the city of Rashi and the Maharam, you’ll pause before the famous chair and visit the “Holy Sands” cemetery, the oldest surviving Jewish cemetery in Europe. And in Speyer, the “Jews’ Courtyard” complex and one of the most beautiful surviving mikvahs in Europe will tell you a story of Jewish resilience like no other.

A special day is reserved for the resting place of the Baal Shem of Michelstadt, for a moving prayer service on the eve of Rosh Chodesh. On another day you’ll sail the Rhine along a valley declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with castles perched on cliffs, green vineyards, and the legendary Lorelei rock around which German folk legends were woven. Each evening you’ll return to the hotel feeling you’ve touched roots you can never sever. And on Shabbat, a magnificent Kiddusha Rabba, royal meals, a chazzan and Shabbat melodies, and a Melaveh Malkah with a surprise will cap off a full week’s journey into Jewish identity.
